Heathcote & Ivory : By The Sea Collection

Aordable bodycare from Heathcote & Ivory

#Gifted
Heathcote & Ivory have just released their charming ‘By The Sea Collection’ –  an array of luxurious vegan-friendly hand creams, washes, soaps and much more. As the name suggests, its products have a real fresh, sea breeze feel to them which helps transport you to the bracing British coastline and beautiful endless Summers. I am lucky enough to live by the sea in Cornwall and this collection captures being by the sea in every way, the scent, packaging and the products help keep your skin feeling soft, nourished and soothed. Ideal after a day of being in the salty air, windswept beaches and sunshine.

Heathcote & Ivory By The Sea

The, By The Sea Collection is classic Heathcote & Ivory, exceptional quality for a great price. From the simple, pretty, spa like packaging which is made from sustainably sourced sugarcane, to the fantastic quality of the products themselves, which are vegan, cruelty free and enriched with a seaweed complex infused with kelp and sea oak. Oh and finally the ‘By The Sea’ scent which captures the essence of the coast, both the calm and relaxing escapism as well as the energy and exhilarating strength of the ocean and coastal landscape. Using citrus and woody notes alongside, fresh violets and soft musk, you’re left feeling revived.

Heathcote Ivory By The Sea Collection

By The Sea Seaweed Complex Hand Cream Trio £16.00

I have been trying out a few products from the collection and the trio of travel sized hand creams have been a godsend, like almost everyone using hand sanitiser a lot means my hands are dry and in dire need of some TLC. So I have popped one tube in my handbag, one in my car and the other is on my desk. So I can apply it when my hands are feeling dry throughout the day. The cream is enriched with vitamin E, aloe, glycerin and a seaweed complex, leaving your hands feeling comfortable (not greasy) and protected. At the heart of this new collection is its scent, and that beautiful, calming yet energising scent lingers on our hands long after you have applied the cream. It is so nice.

Marc Jacobs Daisy for Christmas

Perfume Gift Ideas

Marc Jacobs Daisy Perfume

As I get older I always say to family & friends “let’s not do gifts this year lets just get together and enjoy a meal and a few drinks”. I especially love Christmas for giving us so many excuses to spend time together and it makes me so grateful for all the amazing people I have in my life. That being said it is nice to have something under the tree to open on Christmas morning even if it just one lovely gift, and my husband always gets the most thoughtful presents for me. I like to ask for something special, something I don’t often buy myself and for me that is perfume.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Fragrance

A fragrance for me is such a treat and that’s what makes it the perfect gift to both give and receive. There are so many incredible scents and this year I wanted to add back to my collection a scent that I used to wear a lot a few years ago. We all have that one perfume which never gets old and that for me is Marc Jacobs Daisy. It is such an iconic scent and the bottle is instantly recognisable with the cap adorned with pretty daisies, I haven’t owned it for so long but I’m thrilled to have it for 2018.

It is beautiful, timeless fragrance and one that can be worn by all ages. It is such a mix of fruity, floral and fresh notes that it never smells overpowering of too intense. It reminds me of so many happy moments, birthdays, holidays and getting my job at RBS. It has been a favourite of mine for so long and it was my Mum that first introduced me to it and she still wears it too, so we have the same great taste in perfume.

Perfume Gift Ideas

Top notes of wild berries and soft white violets

Heart notes of velvety jasmine

Base notes of sandalwood

Mandara Spa Products

Madara Spa Bodycare Products

Mandara Spa Products

From the same people that brought us Elemis comes this fantastic affordable bath & bodycare brand called Mandara Spa. Their International Spas are located in some of the most beautiful parts of the world but if like me there is no hope of you visiting paradise anytime soon their bath & bodycare products are a perfect way of creating your own at home spa experience. I have been trying out two products from the Bali Santi Range which smell heavenly and one of their indulgent body butters which is a Winter skin saviour

The Bali Santi Range smells like a far-off tropical paradise, it has smoothing sweet almond oil, nourishing coconut oil which are sweet and evokes memories of holidays. So this range makes you feel like you’ve jetted off somewhere warm, which let’s face it in the depths of a British Winter is always the dream.

Blooming Bath and Shower Oil* £7

This is a really nice indulgent bath product, I like that it is an oil it feels so grown up and luxurious. I found the scent of this so relaxing and I felt like I was in a tropical holiday destination. The oil leaves your skin feeling so healthy and soft but not greasy, you don’t need to add much to your bath and I don’t like using it in the shower because it does leave it quite slippy & I am VERY clumsy so I use this as a bath oil and its perfect.

Nurturing Body Milk* £5

I have to say I haven’t used many body milks in my time but this one feels so cooling and soothing on the skin and it is much more lightweight than the body butter. I have been using the milk as my morning body moisturiser and then using the more heavy body butter in the evening and that has been working wonders for my skin. This feels very gentle and the scent is beautiful and a really pretty mix of sweet, spice and floral scents.

Ylang Ylang & Coconut Body Butter Body Butter* £6

This is your standard thick deeply hydrating body butter, its is packed full of lovely ingredients including moisturising shea, cocoa and mango butters, soothing sweet almond oil, nourishing coconut oil, soothing frangipani flower milk, fragrant orange and ylang-ylang. It might smell quite fresh and summery but this is a perfect Winter skin saviour, it’s so nourishing and keeps my body smooth and soft. I love using it in the evening after I’ve had a bath because I go to bed not only smelling so good but I wake up with incredibly smooth skin. This is such a skin treat and if you like the more heavy feel of a body butter this is ideal for you.

Madara Spa Bodycare Products

Mandara Spa products are budget friendly but that doesn’t mean they compromise on quality, they’re a very indulgent treat and I highly recommend them as gifts this Christmas. They have an extensive range of products and scents. I would say this range is an affordable luxury at its best.
