Aldi Lacura Vitacell Anti Ageing Skincare

Aldi Lacura Vitacell Skincare

Aldi Lacura Vitacell Anti Ageing Skincare

We all know how popular the Aldi Caviar skincare range (which won Best Own-Brand Range of the Year at the 2016 Beauty Awards) is with skincare fans of all budgets, well it seems Aldi has pulled it out of the bag again and I wanted to give you lovely people the HEADS UP!

Get excited, Aldi is introducing their latest budget-friendly skincare collection, the new Aldi Lacura Vitacell Anti Ageing Skincare which is being released for a limited time only on 9th February when it will be launched into Aldi stores & online as a Specialbuy. So that means once the range has sold out it is gone (as in GONE) so make sure you mark your calendars so you’re not disappointed as they’re expecting demand to be high.

It is not going to hang around long because this is some seriously good skincare! Have you marked your calendar?!

Lacura Aldi Vitacell Skincare

Lacura Vitacell Anti Ageing Skincare*

This is a range that is said to rival even the most premium skincare brands, it has been developed using Complex TCR3 which helps prolong the longevity of cells and promotes cell turnover.

The active ingredients that run through this collection have been extracted from the Ancient Chinese plant root Baicalin which helps protect the DNA during cell divisions, promoting young cells, increases skin firmness and elasticity, improves skin restructuring as well reducing the surface effects of free-radicals and pollutants on the skin. So it is quite the all-rounder for your skin. I have been sent 3 products from the mature skin range to test out.

Lacura Vitacell 24hr ceme de luxe Skincare

Aldi will be releasing three products in the Vitacell Collection for mature skin and this will include,

Lacura Vitacell 24HR Creme De Luxe 50ml for £6.99

Which comes in a lovely pot with a spatula so you can scoop the cream out. The cream feels very rich and quite thick but once you start to massage it into your face and neck it smooths out and feels weightless. So the Baicalin extract works as a Telomerase activator which helps protect the DNA during cell divisions and the Stem Cells from sea plants help improve the structure and elasticity of the skin. This cream delivers a great amount of hydration and gives your skin that healthy, plump rejuvenated glow. So if you’re 40+ and are looking for a product to add to your skincare regime that will not only protect your skin but help the overall appearance then this needs to be top of your list.

Lacura Vitacell Skincare at Aldi

Lacura Vitacell Serum Concentrate

This contains most of the same active ingredients as the moisturiser and is a cloudy consistency which is very liquid, not as thick as most serum I have used. It feels nice once massaged in and much like this entire range it promotes elasticity and cell regeneration. It also contains hyaluronic acid and glutamine amino acid for optimising moisture storage and helping your skin appear more youthful. This serum comes beautifully packaged with a pipet so you can dispense just the right amount of product. I have found that 2 – 3 drops are more than enough for your face and neck.

Lacura Vitacell Eye Cream

This is an eye cream for all skin types and the TCR3 anti ageing complex in this cream helps promote blood circulation and reduce fine lines and those pesky dark circles. It has a lovely rich texture but it isn’t too heavy or greasy. It also contains EYESERIL which help de-puff tired looking eyes. This is a great cream for helping hydrate, de-puff and revives your delicate eye area.

NEW Aldi Lacura Vitacell Serum Concentrate

NEW Aldi Vitacell Skincare

As I said the packaging is incredible quality and it is what you would expect to see from a much more luxurious brand, Lacura have pulled out all the stops with this Vitacell range. This range is available in Mature and Sensitive variations so fingers crossed there will be a product to suit your needs.

Skin Chemist Advanced Snail Eye Serum*

I recently reviewed this Snail range from Skin Chemists and I really liked the eye serum. Its so hydrating and I loved how smoothing it was. Who would have thought we’d be putting snail serum on our faces?! Its a lightweight texture, very cooling on the skin and quite refreshing too. Its nice to use either morning or night but I quite often use it in the evening because it helps my eyes look refreshed by morning and keeps the puffyness to an absolute minimum.

If you use the code BLOGSNAILS to get each product for £24.99 each instead of £72 – that is almost halfprice. Code valid until the end of 2016 **

COLab Dry Shampoo Sheer & Invisible in Rio

My holy Grail dry shampoo – this was a mini bottle I took with me to Amsterdam. I am so pleased I took it with me and it meant that I only had to wash my hair twice during the week we were there. This really absorbs the oils and doesn’t irritate my scalp or make my hair look dull. I like all the scents but I think Rio is my favourite. I need to stock up on a few ful sized bottles.

Lacura Thermal Spa Eye Cream*

This is a very, very good eye cream and the fact it is only £ is even better. Aldi skincare is amongst some of my favourite budget options and I particulary enjoyed the Thermal Spa range. It was lightweight, hydrating and had a lovely fresh scent. I highly recommend checking it out next time you are in there doing your shopping. This tube lasted me ages and I mostly used it as part of my morning skincare routine because it worked well to hydrate around my eyes which meant my makeup applied easier and didn’t sink into my fine lines.

Eloquence Skincare Purifying Facial Cleanser

I have tried a few products from this brand and I really enjoyed them as a whole. This was a nice gentle cleanser and again I took it with me to Amsterdam to use as my morning cleanse. It has a creamy formula and it left my skin feeling soft and clean. It’s enriched with Sacha Inchi Oil, Cucumber and Coconut Extracts. Sacha Oil is a common ingredient within this range and is a superfood which comes from Peru and is found in seed form. Its known for its high levels of vitamins, antioxidants and fatty acids and its oil has a unique blend of

  • Omega 3 which helps to restore the skins elasticity
  • Omega 6 helps to combat skin dehydration
  • Omega 9 helps against premature ageing by intensely nourishing and protecting the skin from environmental stress.

So my skin was in good hands and I thought it would be a reliable, gentle cleanser to take away with me, knowing that my skin wouldn’t react to it and cause any breakouts.

Aussie Dry Shampoo

Possibly the worst dry shampoo I have ever used. Its overly powdery, leaves a white cast in your hair & makes your hair feel worse than it did before you applied it. One to avoid for sure.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish

I love the classic Cleanse & Polish from Liz Earle but their limited edition scents are something very special. This Grapefruit and Patchouli scent has been one of my favourites to date, its zesty, fresh and quite Summery. As with the original C&P it’s suitable for all skin types and is great at gently removing makeup and leaving skin feels soft and clean. I try a lot of skincare but I know I can always rely on Liz Earle when my skin has reacted badly to a product and I always have a C&P in my stash. If you have tried any of the limited edition scents, let me know what your favourites are.

Products Currently in Use

Another instalment of Products Currently in Use, I have used up quite a few products and rotated a few new ones into the mix. So I thought I would share with you a couple of products that are currently in use in my bathroom.

Lacura Thermal Spring Shower Gel £1.99

I have tried a few products from this Lacura Thermal Spa range which is sold in ALDI stores & I have been impressed with all of them so far. This is my current shower gel & its lovely and gentle. This range is infused with natural thermal water to soothe and moisturise the skin. It smells nice and fresh, not overpowering or synthetic scent. It lathers up well and leaves my skin feeling clean, soft and hydrated. If you don’t like to spend a lot on shower products then this is a bargain at under £2. I have almost finished this bottle & will be repurchasing it for sure. It’s very affordable and when it comes to skincare products Aldi seem to be delivering on quality.

Jurlique Clarity Hand Wash £27.00

This hand wash is such a treat & very luxurious. I have it in my kitchen, so not technically in my bathroom but I just adore using it. It has a blend of uplifting natural herbal extracts and essential oils, including primrose, macadamia and avocado, which provide pure nutrients to soften the skin. It has a beautiful creamy texture which leaves your hands feeling velvety soft and clean. I love the scent and you can pick out the lavender, patchouli and orange blossom, which smell beautifully uplifting. I know this is a very luxurious hand wash but its a HUGE bottle, this has been well used since November and I still have almost half a bottle left. So its pretty good value and the packaging is so sleek and minimal. This would make a nice housewarming gift or as an extra treat for yourself.

Liz Earle Grapefruit & Patchouli Cleanse & Polish

I’m a huge fan of the cult favourite original C&P but these limited edition ones are just a little bit special. This one has such a refreshing Summer scent and I have been really enjoying that. Its uplifting in the morning and as with the original its very gentle and you can rely on it to leave your skin clean without that tight feeling. Its suitable for all skin types and I highly recommend adding this to your skincare regime – even if its the original version, it won’t let you down. I will be sad when this runs out but I might just treat myself to their latest release.

Ogario Hydrate & Shine Shampoo* £16.50

I recently posted about this shampoo, its great at removing the build-up of product and dirt to leave your hair feeling refreshed and nourished. Without stripping it and leaving it looking dry and feeling squeaky clean. I have dark hair and It leaves my hair with a lovely glossy sheen and in tip-top condition. Ogario is a British based haircare brand that offers salon quality haircare and I am loving discovering their products. This also has a refreshing citrus scent which is a great way to wake me up in the morning. To read more about this – click HERE to read my review.

Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus Moisturising Cleanser* £18.00

I love the Rose Moisture Plus range from Jurlique and this didn’t disappoint either. This is a creamy cleanser which looks like mother of pearl when you first squeeze it out, you massage on to dry skin to break down any dirt, pollution and makeup then you use a damp warm cloth to remove all the residue. It is very gentle and has that beautiful light rose scent. It doesn’t leave behind a greasy residue or leave the skin feeling tight.

It has some great skin-loving ingredients including Jurlique’s exclusive blend of pumice and rosehip oil restores and rebalances your skin so it is polished to perfection, while willow bark cleanses impurities into oblivion so dull and sluggish skin is merely a distant memory. The pumice blend is so gentle that you can’t physically feel any texture but it gently exfoliates your skin leaving it looking radiant.

Lacura Thermal Spring Facial Care* £1.99

This is a new release from Aldi’s skincare brand Lacura, who seem to produce some of the best affordable skincare on the highstreet. I have tried quite a few of their products and they always impress me. This Thermal Spring Moisturiser comes packaged in a frosted glass jar which makes the product feel luxurious and a lot more expensive than it is.

The cream its self is formulated for stressed, sensitive skin and is infused with natural thermal water to soothe and moisturise the skin. It contains containing minerals and trace elements which come from natural, mineral groundwater that emerges from the ground at a temperature of over 20°C. This makes a really nice daily moisturiser that does a good job at hydrating and soothing the skin. There is no SPF in this so you will need to wear a separate one but I really like this and think it would appeal to all ages. I want to try a few more products from this thermal spring line and think this is another wonderful release from Lacura.

Lacura Thermal Spring Skincare

Superdrug Vitamin E Nourishing Eye Cream £2.99

I really like a lot of products from Superdrug’s own skincare line and think they make such great quality affordable options. I’ve been using this eye cream religiously since December at I still have quite a bit of product left. You need only a pea sized amount for both eyes and I just tap it in around the orbital bone and it helps to hydrate, nourish and smooth that area. Its not the lightest in texture but if you tap it in until its absorbed it doesn’t leave the eye area feeling greasy. Its very gentle and never irritates my eyes. I also like the cleanser and moisturiser from this Vitamin E range. For £2.99 I highly recommend trying it out.

Garnier Skin Active Clearly Brighter SPF15 Moisturiser

This is a lightweight daily moisturiser that helps hydrate, brighten and smooth out my skin. Its non greasy and absorbs quickly, It also smooths out my skin so I find it wears well under my makeup. It has contains anti oxidant rich Vitamin C and E as well as gentle exfoliating Lip-Hydroxyl Acid (salicylic acid). This is a great affordable moisturiser, especially if you have dull skin and its a nice option for the warmer months because it is lightweight on the skin. It does have a light citrus scent to it which isn’t offensive but I do with it was fragrance free and I would have preferred it to have a higher SPF but I do like this moisturiser and have been using it a lot over the past 4 months.

Superdrug Simply Pure Hydrating Serum £2.69

I seem to be all about the skincare that soothes, hydrates & nourishes (I have dull, dehydrated skin) and this absolute bargain of a serum from Superdrug is one of the best I have EVER tried. Bold claims I know. I was introduced to this by The Ting Thing who sings its praises & I trust her opinion 100%,  so I had to track it down (its almost always sold out in my local Superdrug).

I’m now on to my 3rd bottle and I’m still loving using it because it just leaves my skin feeling so incredibly soft and my fine lines are reduced because it is extremely hydrating. It contains Hyluronic Acid which helps your skin retain moisture, most of us skincare addicts have heard of this wonder ingredient and I was surprised to see that this purse friendly serum had this listed as an ingredient. So its a fantastic serum if your skin is in need of hydration and is looking a little lackluster. It feels light on the skin and doesn’t take long for it to skink in. It is also fragrance free and alcohol free which is wonderful news if you have sensitive skin.

If I could recommend only one of my four favourite affordable products it would 100% be the Simply Pure Hydrating Serum – its a steal at £2.69 (you best be adding it to your MUST try list).
