Origins KissZing Lip Crayons

Origins KissZing Selection

Origins KissZing

These KissZing Lip Crayons from Origins are a relatively new release & only hit counters in mid-February. So just in time for Spring. They come in 6 wearable colours.

Origins KissZing Selection

I have been using the shade Rosemance which is a soft nude rose shade. It gives your lips a pinch of colour & looks natural and pretty. The formula is quite creamy and glides on effortlessly, feels hydrating on the lips but not greasy at all. There is a glossy finish to this lip crayon and I think these make the perfect everyday lip product. They give your lips a pretty wash of colour, have a nice glossy finish & have lots of skincare benefits too – so they look after your lips as well as making them look pretty. That’s a win-win situation.

Origins KissZing Rosemance

All the Origins KissZing Lip Crayons have these lovely ingredients to help keep your lips smooth, hydrated & looking their best.

Meadowfoam Seed – Which has anti-oxidant properties & helps keep skin soft and nourished.

Jojoba Oils – Which helps soothe dry irritated skin and is very gentle.

Mango Seed Butter Which is rich in antioxidants, vitamin A and E.

Shea Butter – Which is very popular in skincare as it is a very effective moisturiser. So it prevents moisture loss and leaves skin soft.

Origins say these crayons have a scent of mint & vanilla, I do smell a hint of mint but it is so subtle.

I really like the shade I have & think Rosemance is not only a lovely name but a really pretty shade too. It’s subtle & the kind of colour you could wear anywhere & anytime. I think these KissZing Lip Crayons will be perfect for Spring because they’re hydrating and give your lips a gorgeous effortless wash of colour.

Let me know which of the six shades you think would suit you best. I have my eye on Peach Peck.

I did include Rosemance in my Lip Crayon Collection post last month if you’d like to take a look.

Barry M Lip Products

BarryM Stain Paints

I was lucky enough to win 3 Barry M Stain Paints* on Twitter a couple of weeks ago and I have been wearing all 3 shades so much. I have tried Barry M nail polishes, blushers and eyeshadows but never their lip products. I’m really impressed by these new Stain Paints and really hope they add a few more shades to the line, because at the moment there are only 3 colours.

The first thing that stands out is the shiny silver and black packaging, it really catches your eye. It’s a little different to the typical lipstick packaging and I really like it.

As I said BarryM have only released three shades so far & they’re

Infinite Pink – A very pretty fushia pink

Eternal Coral – A lovely red coral

Absolute Burgandy – A deep wine toned red

All three shades are really nice to apply, they glided on with ease and felt quite creamy on my lips. I wouldn’t say they dried to a matte finish as they have a slight shine to them. The formula didn’t feel drying at all and all three shades are very bold. So if you like to wear more subtle lip colours these won’t be for you or you might want to blot the colour so it’s not so intense. These offer you the pigment of a lipstick with the staying power of a lip stain. BarryM have done very well with these, I like all the colours but if I had to pick one favourite it would be Eternal Coral – for me this is the easiest colour to wear.

All three shades are very bold so these have been pushing me to be more adventurous with my lip colour. They pack a punch & I was surprised how little the colour dulled throughout the day. Even after eating and drinking the product was still  bold on my lips and the colour wasn’t patchy or uneven. I would say these lasted a good 3 hours but after that they needed a touch up which on me is great as lip colours tend to fade & rub off so easily on my lips.

These Stain Paints are purse friendly but don’t compromise on quality. If you have a BarryM stand near you go and swatch these, they’re all beautiful.

Tanya Burr Cosmetics – Kiss Me On The Lips

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Lip Gloss

I always shy away from lip glosses, I’m not sure if its my age & I feel a little too old to wear them or if the ones I used to wear were so sticky that the texture annoyed me enough to stop me wearing them. But how could I pass up the opportunity to try out two of lovely Tanya Burr’s glosses. There are currently 12 glosses in the range, a mixture of 5 shimmers and 7 Cream. You can pick from a really nice range of colours from baby pink through to a vibrant red. I’ve seen some mixed reviews and like most people & fellow bloggers I do like to make my own mind up & so It was time to give gloss a 2nd chance.

Lip Gloss

I have been testing out two colours the first is Champagne Toast* which is a lovely Apricot Peach with a hint of shimmer. This is a really pretty sheer gloss, so if you’re like me and don’t always like to wear a bold lip, this gives your lips just a touch of colour but nothing OTT. I have worn it a few times over the top of a nude lipstick and that looked really nice too. On its own this is a sheer pretty gloss but don’t expect too much pigment as this shade is quite subtle. I do think its a pretty summery lip colour as it has a slightly orange hue to it & what says summer more like a touch of shimmer. If I was going to a festival (sadly I’m not) I would wear this gloss as you don’t have to worry about it bleeding, its easy to apply, the colour will go with everything & you’ll look fresh and effortless.

Tanya Burr Makeup

First Date* is my favourite of the two shades and that surprised me as I’m not a baby pink kind of girl and never reach for those colours. This is the sweetest shade and it make me look really healthy and added a really nice pop of colour to my lips. I was impressed by the pigmentation of this, and it really translates on to your lips. It looks like there is shimmer when in the tube but that didn’t translate to the lips. Its a shade that makes your complexion look bright and having quite a dull complexion I need all the radiance boosting I can get.

Both of these glosses wore quite well on me and although they’re quite thick in texture they’re in no way sticky or uncomfortable on my lips which was great. The packaging is nice, I can see that they are more targeted at a younger market with Tanya’s photo & signature on the packaging & tube. That aside the packaging is quite nice and simple, you’re able to see the product in the tube and it feels well made. The applicator is quite stiff with a little flexibility and I found this made applying the gloss easy and precise, it picked up just enough product as not to overload the lips & you can build up the gloss if you like. I have to say these smell incredible & sweet and you can smell the scent the whole time its on your lips. Fruity goodness!!

Tanya Burr Lip Glosses

These glosses have a high shine finish and keep your lips feeling moisturised and not greasy, it has a slight tacky finish but that just makes me know my gloss is still on & in place. I know that when the tackiness has faded I need to reapply, its not uncomfortable and I think they wear really well over lipstick too. I need to experiment with a few more lipstick combinations & try to be slightly more adventurous.

I have to say I’m now a lipgloss wearer and fear I’ve been missing out for all these years by dismissing them, I have some catching up to do. So Thank you Tanya for rekindling my love for glossy lips, this could be the start of an expensive addiction (buys ALL the lipglosses).

Cute Tanya Burr Lip gloss

I’m excited to see what Tanya releases next in to her collection, if the quality of these glosses is anything to go by she is set to do very well & I wish her all the very best. What an exciting journey (I want her to release a line of eyeshadows). If you have tried anything from Tanya’s range let me know what you thought & what colours you would recommend.
