Updating My Perfume Collection

Accessorize Lovelily Perfume-

I don’t actually own too many perfumes, I try to keep my collection small and actually use them before they pass their best. Fragrance can quite often be very expensive and often that can lead you to only using them sparingly or for special occasions. I like to use my perfumes every day and so it is nice when you can have a nice mix of good quality affordable options as well as more luxe options too.

I want to introduce you to, two affordable scents from two very well known high street shops, both perfumes have slotted well into my collection and have been seeing a lot of use!

Accessorize Lovelily Fragrance

Accessorize Love Lily 

I used to use Accessorize makeup all the time and always loved the fun, feminine packaging, so I was excited to try their signature scent. This Love Lily fragrance would make a lovely everyday scent, it is nicely subtle and settles to wear for quite a few hours before the need to reapply. It is incredible value for money and the bottle is beautiful.

The perfume comes in a pretty hexagonal bottle, it is quite weighty and is finished with a pink floral stopper. Out of the two perfumes, this does have more of a youthful feel, I think it is because the scent is fruity and sweet. It features notes of raspberry, orange, jasmine and sweet vanilla.

If you enjoy scents that are juicy, fresh and fairly sweet you need to add this to your collection. Don’t think this is going to be sickly sweet because it is not at all, the zesty fruit and floral jasmine help to give it a twist.

The Monsoon Rose Gold is very different from the Accessorize Love Lily. The bottle is more understated and elegant and the scent is sophisticated and sexy. That is how I have justified keeping both – this one makes a beautiful evening scent. So I now have new scents for both day & night.

What I like about the Rose Gold fragrance is that it has more of a warm, sexy scent and neroli and musk are two of my favourite notes. They add a masculine feel. These notes work so well alongside the rose, lemon and vanilla which give it that zesty, sweet twist.

  • Top notes of sparkling lemon, soft fruit and ozonic scents
  • Heart notes of velvety rose, tuberose, neroli and cyclamen
  • Base notes of Eastern woods, vanilla, mosses, musk and balsamic amber

Once it has settled down it smells beautiful, not too heavy but it lasts well on me. I can still smell it on my scarf 4 days after I’d sprayed it.

Both scents are affordable are very pretty. They’re very different in terms of scent and I do feel like the Accessorize Love Lily would be perfect for late teens early 20’s. The Monsoon Rose Gold has a slightly more romantic, sophisticated feel but that being said I have enjoyed them both.

Perfume is down to personal taste & I always recommend trying them out for yourself. So if you get chance to pop into a Monsoon or Accessorize store give them a whirl and let me know your thoughts.

Beautiful New BonBon Couture Fragrance

I’m a long time fan of Victor & Rolf fragrances and have repurchased their iconic FlowerBomb scent too many times to count, I think their fragrances are beautifully feminine and very pretty. The original BONBON scent was extremely popular and is more on the sweet side but this new more intense addition to the BONBON family is perfect if you like your perfume to be a little more intense and whilst it’s still sweet it settles down to be more of a rich, warm, sexy scent.

Fragrance Notes:

  • Top Notes: Mandarin Orange, Neroli, Peach
  • Heart Notes: Orange Blossom, Jasmine Sambac, Caramel
  • Base Notes: Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vanilla, White Tobacco

This perfume has great staying power and I could still smell it on myself after a full day. I would also say that it works well as both as a day and an evening scent.

New Viktor & Rolf BonBon Couture

The outer cardboard packaging (which I can’t bare to throw away) is a bright fuchsia pink with the classic black V&R faux wax seal at the centre of a pretty ribbon effect. The bottle itself is just gorgeous, it comes in a pretty purple / pink ombre effect bottle which feels very luxurious and heavy. It is shaped like a wrapped sweet (candy), its very feminine and looks pretty sat on your dressing table.

I think If you like Flowerbomb I think you’re going to fall in love with BONBON Couture too.

Its always so hard to describe a fragrance and recommending scents is difficult because perfumes are a very personal product. I have been trying out two new upcoming releases, Étui Noir and Lumiére Dorée – both are rich, sophisticated and perfect Spring / Summer scents. They both come packaged in the signature, elegant Miller Harris style with the outer cardboard packaging being simple but stylish and the perfume themselves are in beautiful weighty glass bottles with elegant floral detailing. They feel and look so nice.

If you like rich complex more masculine scents then you just might fall in love with his new Miler Harris fragrance. It has notes of,

I adore fragrances with Bergamot & Patchouli and Étui Noir is quite a dark, sophisticated scent. Its a little heavier than Lumiére Dorée. My husband loves this one in particular and I think it smells incredible on him. Its so rich and the mix of zesty citrus, smoky vetiver and rich patchouli make this my favourite Miller Harris scent to date, its intense and beautiful.

This would make a really special Father’s Day gift.

Miller Harris Lumiére Dorée eau de parfum*

This is a more light, warm romantic scent. Its a gorgeous scent to wear daily and one that you won’t grow tired of because throughout the day you pick up different notes and they all smell so sophisticated. It has notes of,

  • TOP: BERGAMOT, PETIT GRAIN BIGARADIER EO, ORANGE BIGARADE
  • HEART: NEROLI BIGARADE MOROCCO EO, SAMBAC JASMINE, ORANGE BLOSSOM WATER
  • BASE: CASHMERE WOOD, VETIVER, CRISP AMBER, WHITE MUSKS

This is a lovely rich scent its not overpowering or heady. I think it smells zesty, quite sweet and the musk makes it a little sensual and warm. Its an easy scent to wear, I think its because its a little more fresh and daytime friendly.

These are two beautiful new additions to the Miller Harris range and their scents are such incredible quality and both fragrances are unisex.
