If you’re not already familiar with Jurlique, they’re an Australian brand which was started back in 1985 by a husband & wife dedicated to harnessing the power of nature to create incredibly effective products. Their ethos was Nature + Science = Beauty and to this day Jurlique develops high-performance skincare, using potent, biodynamic (Biodynamics is a spiritual-ethical-ecological approach to agriculture, food production and nutrition), organic and natural ingredients sourced the world over.

Jurlique has an Organic Farm in the Adelaide Hills of Australia where the magic happens and this was the brainchild of the founders Dr Jurgen Klien and his wife Ulrike, a Horticulturist and a Botanist with a passion for combining nature with science to deliver natural skincare with long-lasting effects. To this day the farm is thriving and its where many of the herbs, flowers and plants are grown for Jurlique’s products.

I am a long time user of Jurlique’s classic Rosewater Balancing Mist and always have a bottle on my desk just to refresh my skin throughout the day. I was so excited to learn they’d released a lovely limited edition version. The Sweet Violet and Grapefruit Mist are packed full of potent natural antioxidants, which help improve skins moisture levels, leaving the skin feeling hydrated, soothed and balanced.

This is such a versatile product. I like to use it on clean skin before my skincare regime, and also throughout the day to refresh my skin or indeed to refresh my makeup. It gives the skin a real boost of moisture, the scent is also very calming and a nice blend of zesty fruit and floral notes. I like that it comes out as light misting of moisture to your skin, and doesn’t drench your face.

Jurlique products always come so beautifully packaged and this hydrating mist does not disappoint. The outer box has a gorgeous purple floral design with gold writing. The purple ombre bottle itself is simply stunning, it looks so luxurious. This would make a thoughtful gift for anyone who enjoys skincare and is maybe missing out on this step in their routine.

2017 was the year of the sheet mask and I for one love this beauty trend. Sheet masks are the ultimate in pampering. I was very excited to hear that Jurlique had released their own sheet masks and I love that Jurlique has included an extra piece for under your chin. What a fantastic idea! It helps to keep the mask in place a lot easier

It recommends to leave the mask on for 15 minutes but I have found with most sheet masks that you can really leave them on for longer. I tend to have a bath when I use a sheet mask so I just leave it on the whole time & that tends to be about 30 – 40 minutes. The mask fits my face well (I have quite a small face) and was easy to get into place, it felt cooling and very relaxing and there was quite a lot of product to massage in after I removed the mask which felt so nice.

You get 5 masks in each box, I have been using mine the night before a big event or indeed after. These are quite luxurious masks so I have been using them as a real skincare treat but I have to say they leave my skin feeling incredibly soft and looking fresh and radiant. In terms of reducing dark spots and uneven skin tone, this is something that takes time and I will update you if I see a positive change in my discolouration.

Molton Brown Seabourn Collection

I’ve been using the Shower Gel & Lotion over the past few weeks and they’re both lovely and indulgent and the fresh uplifting scent fills the room and makes my bathroom smell like a luxurious spa. The Shower Gel is hydrating and I have to say I like to use it as a handwash. The Body Lotion is rich and leaves my skin feeling replenished and soft, this also works really well as a hand lotion.

This duo contains some of my favourite notes like bergamot, cedarwood and musk which give it a slightly masculine edge but the fresh notes of mint and eucalyptus leave it with a very revitalizing and fresh scent.

The lovely fresh, white bottles have been designed by British illustrator Angela McKay. She has hand drawn the fragrance’s botanical ingredients on the bottles which look really classic and I am really pleased with the two products I have tried from this limited edition collection. This is a range that is said to rival even the most premium skincare brands, it has been developed using Complex TCR3 which helps prolong the longevity of cells and promotes cell turnover.

The active ingredients that run through this collection have been extracted from the Ancient Chinese plant root Baicalin which helps protect the DNA during cell divisions, promoting young cells, increases skin firmness and elasticity, improves skin restructuring as well reducing the surface effects of free-radicals and pollutants on the skin. So it is quite the all-rounder for your skin. I have been sent 3 products from the mature skin range to test out.

Which comes in a lovely pot with a spatula so you can scoop the cream out. The cream feels very rich and quite thick but once you start to massage it into your face and neck it smooths out and feels weightless. So the Baicalin extract works as a Telomerase activator which helps protect the DNA during cell divisions and the Stem Cells from sea plants help improve the structure and elasticity of the skin. This cream delivers a great amount of hydration and gives your skin that healthy, plump rejuvenated glow. So if you’re 40+ and are looking for a product to add to your skincare regime that will not only protect your skin but help the overall appearance then this needs to be top of your list.

Lacura Vitacell Serum Concentrate 

This contains most of the same active ingredients as the moisturiser and is a cloudy consistency which is very liquid, not as thick as most serum I have used. It feels nice once massaged in and much like this entire range it promotes elasticity and cell regeneration. It also contains hyaluronic acid and glutamine amino acid for optimising moisture storage and helping your skin appear more youthful. This serum comes beautifully packaged with a pipet so you can dispense just the right amount of product. I have found that 2 – 3 drops are more than enough for your face and neck.

Lacura Vitacell Eye Cream

This is an eye cream for all skin types and the TCR3 anti ageing complex in this cream helps promote blood circulation and reduce fine lines and those pesky dark circles. It has a lovely rich texture but it isn’t too heavy or greasy. It also contains EYESERIL which help de-puff tired looking eyes. This is a great cream for helping hydrate, de-puff and revives your delicate eye area.
