Origins GinZing is quite the cult product & a firm favourite of mine too & I wanted to let you know about the great deal that they have at the moment.
Origins have a limited edition supersize 75ml jar for sale, so you’re getting £34.50 worth of product for £25.00 (while stocks last). So if this is your go to moisturiser you might want to take advantage of the offer & stock up
‘This lightweight, oil-free, skin energy drink, fortified with legendary skin-boosters like Panax Ginseng and Coffee Bean, jumpstarts hydration levels. Lacklustre-looking skin is rapidly refreshed and revitalised to create a healthy, vibrant glow.’
I tend to use this moisturiser in the morning, I find it leaves my skin feeling smooth, silky soft and hydrated all day. I like to use this on days when I will be wearing makeup for a long time as makeup sits really well with this underneath, its a gel formula so doesn’t feel heavy or greasy and its hydrating so helps my makeup look fresh throughout the day.
As with the whole GinZing skincare range from Origins this smells uplifting and zingy and never leaves my skin looking or feeling greasy, its easy to see why its one of Origins best selling products. So if you skin is in need of something to help it look more radiant and give it a boost of hydration this would be perfect for you.
Let me know what your favourite Origins product is & if you have tried anything from the GinZing range. I have reviewed the GinZing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser if you’d like to read that.

I have a very small MAC collection, but the products I do have I love & use quite a lot. There are lots of eyeshadows I would like to try and I’m treating myself to them slowly. If you have any suggestions as to what products I need to try from MAC I would love to hear them & let me know if you have any of the ones I mention.
MAC Pro Longwear Paintpot in Rubenesque – I have three paint pots & love them, they’re so easy to use and I find these Mac ones last for ages without drying out. Rubenesque is a pretty burnt orange colour, It’s creamy and pigmented. I think it has a slight frosty look to it and its so pretty. I often wear this alone all over the lid, I love how effortless cream shadows are to apply. It does make a really good base under shadows too & acts as a primer so they wear longer & the colour is bold and doesn’t crease.
MAC Sharon Osbourne Duchess Eyeshadow Quad – I know this was limited edition so I’m sorry but I do love it & the four shades that are included in this quad are my perfect colours. I’ve included this quad because I do like MAC eyeshadows as a whole. I’ve 11 in total & they’re all great quality. I like that they have such a huge selection of colours and finishes plus the quality is always so good, so I think they are worth the price tag (not that they’re massively expensive).
But focusing on this Duchess quad, all four shades are lovely, pigmented and very blendable. They work well worn together or alone & unlike a lot of palettes / quads there isn’t one dud shade, they’re all beautiful. Embark is matte and slightly dry but still pigmented, Sweet Eyes & Sexy Eyes are Veluxe Pearl and Femme Fatale is a Satin finish. I travel with this quad quite a lot & really love the quality of the shadows & the neutral smokey eye looks I (try) to create.
MAC Extra Dimension Eye Shadow in Sweet Heat – The quality of this shadow is so nice, it looks like liquid metal. The finish looks metallic and you get amazing colour pay off. Sweet Heat is a peachy champagne colour with a super metallic finish. I like that this is a brightening colour & it stays pigmented all day without fading & you get no fall out either. You can use these Extra Dimension eye shadows wet or dry depending on how pigmented you want it to be. I love this eyeshadow & its a very pretty colour to wear all over the lid. This shade was from the Magnetic Nude Collection.
MAC Mineralized Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle – I use this highlighter all the time & it’s lasted ages, there is hardly a dent in it. I have to say its such good value for money. It looks a little sparkly in the pan but don’t be put off, It’s not shimmery but adds a flattering luminous glow to the skin, its beautiful when the light hits & makes you look like you have had the best Summer holiday! The product is baked and so very finely milled, it never looks powdery or too over done just beautiful on the skin (just apply with a light hand & remember less is more). I love having this in my collection & it gets a lot of love.
Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15 Foundation – Sadly this has been discontinued but I have a tiny bit left which I’m using sparingly. I just love the coverage & smooth finish it gives. It offers a light coverage and reminds me of the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in that its quite reflective (not shimmery). It gives the skin a fresh luminous finish and easy to blend the only downside is that is doesn’t last all day on my skin, I do need to touch up after 6 hours or so. As I said it is discontinued now but this is the only MAC Foundation I have liked up till now. This is in the shade NC25.
Let me know what Mac products you love, I do have some more to share with you but I will save those for another post.
Being a massive fan of the film Pulp Fiction, I was so excited to try out the Urban Decay Limited Edition Pulp Fiction Range which was released this summer to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the film (can’t believe it has been 20 years). Never have I been more excited to review a collection. Its gorgeous & I love (almost) every product which is unusual for me because many ltd edition collections are often a little gimmicky or out there in terms of colours & after you buy them they’re put into your collection and then overlooked, but I can see this collection being reached for a lot!
It’s a 6 piece collection & the packaging is black & yellow in keeping with the movie poster (its so iconic). The attention to detail on the packaging is so on point and Urban Decay have added lots of fun touches that die hard Pulp Fiction fabs will appreciate. I know I won’t be able to throw it away!
The collection features a 5 Shadow Palette, Revolution Lipstick, 24/7 Glide on Lip Pencil, Nail Varnish and a Heavy Metal Glitter Liner. The idea is that you use the collection to create your own take on the iconic Miss Mia Wallace look, using the handy step by step card that you get in the eyeshadow palette.
The Pulp Fiction Palette* £17.50 comes in black & yellow packaging & has the famous Ezekiel passage on the top written in red. The packaging is cardboard but its very sturdy and it comes with a large mirror in the lid. This palette has 5 shadows & they’re a mixture of mattes & satin finishes. This palette features 3 new colours from Urban Decay
Righteous – Light cream matte
Tyranny – Warm brown matte
Vengeance – Deep taupe brown matte
Furious – Pearly white satin
Anger – Black satin with a hint of sparkle
The shadows are pigmented & easy to blend they are all beautiful and colours that I would pick out of my collection to wear all the time. I think they’re also perfect colours for Autumn, I love wearing a warm brown smokey eye. The only shade in this palette that I didn’t like too much was Anger, I thought it was more of a grey than a black and it was a little chalky and harder to work with. You also get a double ended brush in the palette & I usually throw away the brushes you get free but I used this one & its great for taking the shadow under the eye & I even packed the colour on to the lid using it, it wasn’t great at blending but if you needed to you could make it work & I love that its red.
The Mrs Mia Wallace Revolution Lipstick* £15.00 This lipstick is utterly gorgeous & its my favourite piece from the whole Pulp Fiction Collection. It’s a deep cherry red shade with a beautiful glossy finish. This colour is so rich on the lips and it feels comfortable to wear. If you have tried any of the Urban Decay Revolution Lipsticks you will know how creamy and pigmented they are & the this one doesn’t disappoint.
This colour is such a good match to the lipstick Mrs Mia Wallace wears in the film and I felt a little bad ass wearing it. Its quite dark and not something I would normally wear but I fell in love with the colour & I know I will get so much wear from it. I do need a little practise applying it & I’m not that skilled in applying lip pencil as you can see in the photos below but you can get an idea of how bold & vibrant the colour is. Also it applies smoothly on your lips and it lasted a good 6 hours on me which I was so pleased with.
Mrs Mia Wallace 24/7 Glide on Lip Pencil* £13.50 – I only have one other lip pencil so they’re not something I tend to use but the Mrs Mia Wallace lipstick is very pigmented & I think in order to get a good finish & stop it bleeding throughout the day the lip pencil is a must & they make a good duo. The liner is quite creamy but easy to use & although I need more practise applying it I do love the colour and think it made a big difference to how long the lipstick lasted. Its a matte finish & I would describe it as a blood red.
Mrs Mia Wallace Nail Colour* £10.00 the packaging on the nail polish is cool, it has a skull on the lid & the colour is coordinated with the lipstick and is a gorgeous deep cherry red shade with a touch of shimmer. It wears really well on my nails & I had it on for 5 days before taking it off. The brush is nice and it applied the polish really evenly and despite it being a dark shade I managed to apply it with minimal mess. A gorgeous polish but I wouldn’t say a must have unless you’re a nail polish addict.
Gunmetal Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner* £14.00– I’ve tried a few of these glitter liners over the years & I love the brush as it is so easy to use & you can achieve a thin precise line or build it up to create a more dramatic look. The glitter doesn’t transfer, once it has dried it stays in place until you remove it. This has silver and black glitter and looks great on, although I’m not too sure it is in keeping with the Pulp Fiction Mia Wallace look but I guess it could be a more modern take on an edgy look. I used my Urban Decay Ink For Eyes in this look.
Let me know if you have tried anything from this Pulp Fiction collection & if not the good news is it is still available from Debenhams although it is limited edition so be quick.
