La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+ Unifiant

La Roche Posay Tinted Skincare

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo Unifiant

I think everyone has heard of the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo(+) range & quite rightly too because its nothing short of wonderful. This is a range of skincare is formulated to be an effective anti imperfection treatment, it helps reduce and control blemish breakouts as well as tackling those pesky blemish scars. It’s also fantastic at controlling oil, reducing redness and acting as an anti-inflammatory – so it’s soothing and calming on the skin. This range knocks it out of the pack when it comes to looking after blemish prone skin!

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo(+) Unifiant

The exciting news is that La Roche Posay has released Effaclar Duo(+) Unifiant which combine their best selling Effaclar Duo+ formula with mineral pigments that give the skin a light tint to even out skin tone and add that healthy glow to the skin. It’s like a proper BB Cream combining incredible skincare benefits with makeup. I was very excited to give this a go because I prefer to wear a light coverage base most days and the fact this is giving you the same skin loving Effaclar Duo+ formula so I know my skin is in great hands alongside providing a nice coverage is super exciting.

La Roche Posay Tinted Skincare

This product feels lightweight on the skin and is easy to blend out to ensure you get an even coverage. It provides me with a good light natural coverage, but don’t worry its does a fantastic job of neutralising redness and evening out skin tone so you get a healthy radiant but natural semi-matte finish.

At its core, this product is a blemish treatment with the added benefit of giving your skin a beautiful lightweight tint, so it lets your skin breath, won’t clog pores and leaves your skin looking smooth. I am a huge fan and have been wearing it a lot these past few weeks. It is a very nice option for the warmer months because it does feel so lightweight on the skin.

Key Ingredients & Skincare Benefits

  • Piroctone Olamine  – to combat bacterial infection
  • Linoleic Acid – to regulate sebum
  • Niacinamide – an anti-inflammatory ingredient for intensive smoothing
  • Procerad – a pluripotent ceramide to diffuse inflammation within 1 day and prevent and treat post inflammatory hyperpigmentation
  • LHA – for keratolytic action (speeding cell renewal)

At the moment this only comes in two shades Fair/Light & Light/Medium, and I have the Fair/Light shade which is an OK match for me during the Summer months but will be too dark for me as we head into Autumn / Winter. This product was only released back in July so I’m sure they will extend the shade range over time.

It’s exciting to see La Roche Posay extending their Effaclar Duo(+) Range and for me this newest release ticks so many boxes. I could go on about its benefits for a very long time, but keeping it as short as I can, Unifiant is great controlling shine, reducing redness, evening out skin tone, reducing blemish scars and providing a natural tint without clogging pores.

I did notice that La Roche Posay also offer an Unifiant version of my favourite Anthelios Facial SPF which I am excited to try next.

ESPA Naturally Radiant Tinted Moisturiser

ESPA Tinted Moisturiser

ESPA Tinted Moisturiser

ESPA recently released their Naturally Radiant Tinted Moisturiser & I knew it would be right up my street. Incase you don’t know, ESPA have over 450 spas in 50 countries and have developed a range of spa quality products, which they use in all their spas. Their products are also available online and in high street stores like Harvey Nichols and John Lewis. So you can use their spa quality products at home.

This new Tinted Moisturiser is available in four shades and has SPF15.

I’ve been trying out the two lightest shades and I can get away with both of them but at the moment I prefer the lightest shade which is 01 Nude*. It has cool undertones and is quite a fair colour, I think it is the perfect match for me. The shade 02 Blush* has peachy pink undertones is slightly too dark for me right now but come July this will be a really good match.

ESPA Naturally Radiant Tinted Moisturiser

For my everyday makeup I like to keep it simple and for want of a better expression go for the ‘no makeup makeup look’. I like my skin to look as natural as possible and find that tinted moisturisers & BB creams are my go to base. They’re a nice alternative to foundation and this new release from ESPA is just perfect. Not only does it provide sheer coverage but it also includes these skin benefits too,

  • Sunflower Seed Concentrate to hydrate and strengthen the skin
  • White Lupin to powerfully increase elasticity and skin firmness
  • Spruce Knot Extract helps to prevent the skin from free radical damage
  • Shea Butter and Hyaluronic acid helps to lock in moisture for all day hydration
  • UVA and UVB sun filters are enhanced with Argan, Vitamin E and Chamomile Extract to provide SPF 15 protection

ESPA Makeup

The product feels lightweight, moisturising, silky and easy to blend into the skin, I used a pea sized amount for my whole face & that was enough product. It give my skin a lovely fresh natural glow, it has a radiant dewy finish and would be gorgeous for the warmer months. I found I needed to use a concealer around my nose and on a few stubborn blemishes just for a little extra coverage. I do like how the tinted moisturiser let my freckles show through and just gave me that added glow and warmed up my complexion. I didn’t have to powder but I think as the weather gets a little warmer I would have to add that step just to stop my forehead & chin area getting shiny (as I would with any base product).

If you’re looking for a tinted moisturiser which will give you a natural, radiant glow to the skin then this is for you. It wears well and doesn’t oxidise throughout the day and is also fragrance free and like I said has SPF15.
