Nailberry 50 Shades Nail Polish

Nailberry Nail Polish

Nailberry Nail Polish

Nailberry is a nail polish brand that is proud to be a 4 free & that means free of Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP and Camphor. These chemicals can weaken your nails & are often toxic. Also, their new L’Oxygene & Les Beiges spirituels collections are 5 free, So no nasties hidden in their products which means your nails are in good hands.

The colour I have been using is called 50 shades* & for someone that isn’t a fan of the book (or film), I’m a massive fan of this polish. Its pretty, great quality & has some staying power. I have been packing boxes and getting ready to move house & this polish withstood all of that without chipping. That gets extra brownie points from me.

First off I would say the packaging is nice & elegant. It’s a nice to see a slightly different style of bottle. Its slim & tall and feels lovely. The brush is a very good size, its quite long & the brush covers almost all the nail so you don’t need to go back over the same spot more than once which is a bonus if you’re doing your nails in a rush.

The formula is a little runny but I would say that although the formula was slightly thinner than I’m used to the colour was still opaque in 2 coats. The polish was quick to dry & it is a beautiful grey (almost black) with silver iridescent flecks running through, almost like mother of pearl, it’s really pretty and looks quite dramatic on the nails. I also loved how glossy the finish was too.

So if you like your polish on the dark side but with a subtle touch of shimmer, this is for you.

Nailberry is also It is also cruelty-free which is another tick in the box.

Pretty in Pink

I seem to always gravitate towards the same nail polishes and many go unloved. So I am trying to pick a new polish each time I paint my nails and this is my current choice.

Raspberry Crush

This Models Own Polish in Raspberry Crush £5 is a lovely Pink with a slightly red feel to it. It looks great on your toes too. These never last long on me and so I like to wear them with a glitter topcoat as you notice less when it chips.

Nail Polsh Trio

I love BarryM polishes and these two glitters are so pretty but very different. The first peachy pink is called Pink Iridescent. It  has small pink and silver flecks, they are so small and very glitzy. It looks very pretty over the top of Models Own Raspberry Crush. The other BarryM Glitter is alot more chunky and that means harder to remove too. This one is called Pink Sapphire and has light pink, dark pink and silver glitter.

In the end I wore the BarryM Pink Iridescent over my Models Own polish it makes a great summer combo. What have you been wearing on your nails lately? Do you have any summer polish recommendations?

Loyalty to Royal-ty

Nicole By OPI  Loyalty to Royal-ty

This is a Nicole by OPI Polish I picked up in a set from TK Maxx. Love me some TK Maxx bargains. This is the first time I’ve worn it even tho’ I have had it for about 2 months. I think that’s telling me I have far to many nail polishes.

This is a really deep electric blue with a hint of silver glitter. The glitter is so finely milled thats its hard to see it unless your nails are in the bright sunshine. I am not too much a fan of these Nicole By OPI bottles but the polish itself is really nice. With the hint of glitter in it gives it a really great reflective finish. It’s a great polish if you want your nails to really stand out.

I like the finish this polish has & for an extra pop of shine I use my beloved Sally Hansen Mega Shine Top Coat. I will always repurchase that and my polish stays put for so much longer with it on.

You can get away with applying 2 coats of this & you will get a great bold finish. But if you have the patience then 3 coats will just look really fab. I found it dries quickly and the polish was a good consistency. The brush was quite thin but it was long and really easy to use. So Loyalty to Royal-ty gets a big thumbs up from me.

Have you tried these Nicole for OPI polishes? What is your fave shade? I have 2 more to review so keep a look out for those over the next couple of weeks.
