I love to switch up my perfume as the season’s change and I think this is the perfect excuse to treat yourself to a new scent. So August saw Molton Brown release their stunning new Pretty Bold – Jasmine & Sun Rose Collection. This Collection celebrates being fearlessly feminine and looks to empower women and their individuality. The range centres around the starring note, the jasmine flower, which is both beautifully delicate yet exceptionally powerful. I think It’s the perfect scent to see us through the end of a beautiful Summer and take us into a crisp fresh Autumn.

The new Jasmine & Sun Rose fragrance is a mix of fruity and floral, layered with warm sexy feminine notes. It’s a real scent journey and I just love the boldness of the sharp fruity notes coupled with the more smooth and sexy notes of bergamot and musk. It is a real treat and I think it will be a great transitional scent as the seasons change.

As I mentioned this new collection is a celebration of fearless femininity and I’m totally onboard with that. I love anything that champions modern femininity. At its core, this Jasmine & Sun Rose collection is beautifully feminine but I also like that it has a rich, sexy, bold vibe to it too. I think it’s quite a contemporary feminine fragrance and one I think you’re going to love.

Opening with fresh Bergamot, Raspberry and soft Peach, the captivating scent is enhanced by a delicate heart of Rose, Jasmine and Osmanthus, before settling on a luxurious Patchouli and Musk base.

The peach and raspberry give this fragrance a real sweet fruitiness that has a juicy touch. The floral notes of osmanthus, jasmine and rose add a classic feminine layer whilst the notes of musk, patchouli and bergamot add that bold, modern sexy feel. This is a fragrance that works for day or night. When it is first spritzed you can really make out the fruity notes but once settled down the elegant, rich, sexy notes of musk and patchouli really come through.

Molton Brown Luxurious Fragrance

The packaging for this collection is simply stunning & to illustrate the fragrance, Molton Brown has collaborated with acclaimed British artist Rhea Thierstein evoking the soul of this fragrance in her own piece of moving art. The bottles themselves are the classic Molton Brown deigns but the colours have a feminine peachy, pink hue and the gift boxes are just extra special. They look like a colourful marble effect and this is one box that I will be keeping, it really is too nice to throw away.

As always with fragrance I highly recommend popping into a store & giving it a test, I think it will make a gorgeous Summer/Autumn transitional scent and of course, Molton Brown products always make fantastic gifts.

Well, I think Baylis and Harding have knocked it out of the park again with their new Beauticology Unicorn Candy Collection. How adorable is the kitsch pastel packaging and like all Baylis & Harding releases you get a lot of product for your money. These bottles are huge and they range in price from £2.15 – £3, so very affordable indeed & don’t forget this collection is exclusive to Boots.

I have such a quick hair care routine and the fewer products I need to use each day the better. I like to keep it simple and this Fab.Me Hair Mist is described as ‘The mother of all hair treatments’ and it really is! PUFF.ME Light

How adorable is this little pink and white bottle?! Well, let’s just start by saying it looks cute but the packaging was a nightmare for me – this is a powder and for some reason when I took the lid off so much of it puffed out all over the place. I wouldn’t travel with this and I would say not to put the lid back on.

This product is to give your roots volume and texture and it does that in abundance. I have to say I wasn’t 100% blown away with this and it left my hair feeling weird and the powder wasn’t translucent in my hair. When I used it I 100% had to wash my hair the next day otherwise my hair felt like straw. I think I prefer to use a standard dry shampoo to achieve the same results, this product is great in theory but needs a little more tweaking.

Accessorize Lovelily Perfume-

I don’t actually own too many perfumes, I try to keep my collection small and actually use them before they pass their best. Fragrance can quite often be very expensive and often that can lead you to only using them sparingly or for special occasions. I like to use my perfumes every day and so it is nice when you can have a nice mix of good quality affordable options as well as more luxe options too.

I want to introduce you to, two affordable scents from two very well known high street shops, both perfumes have slotted well into my collection and have been seeing a lot of use!

Accessorize Lovelily Fragrance

Accessorize Love Lily 

I used to use Accessorize makeup all the time and always loved the fun, feminine packaging, so I was excited to try their signature scent. This Love Lily fragrance would make a lovely everyday scent, it is nicely subtle and settles to wear for quite a few hours before the need to reapply. It is incredible value for money and the bottle is beautiful.

The perfume comes in a pretty hexagonal bottle, it is quite weighty and is finished with a pink floral stopper. Out of the two perfumes, this does have more of a youthful feel, I think it is because the scent is fruity and sweet. It features notes of raspberry, orange, jasmine and sweet vanilla.

If you enjoy scents that are juicy, fresh and fairly sweet you need to add this to your collection. Don’t think this is going to be sickly sweet because it is not at all, the zesty fruit and floral jasmine help to give it a twist.

Monsoon Rose Gold Fragrance

The Monsoon Rose Gold is very different from the Accessorize Love Lily. The bottle is more understated and elegant and the scent is sophisticated and sexy. That is how I have justified keeping both – this one makes a beautiful evening scent. So I now have new scents for both day & night.

What I like about the Rose Gold fragrance is that it has more of a warm, sexy scent and neroli and musk are two of my favourite notes. They add a masculine feel. These notes work so well alongside the rose, lemon and vanilla which give it that zesty, sweet twist.

  • Top notes of sparkling lemon, soft fruit and ozonic scents
  • Heart notes of velvety rose, tuberose, neroli and cyclamen
  • Base notes of Eastern woods, vanilla, mosses, musk and balsamic amber

Once it has settled down it smells beautiful, not too heavy but it lasts well on me. I can still smell it on my scarf 4 days after I’d sprayed it.

Both scents are affordable are very pretty. They’re very different in terms of scent and I do feel like the Accessorize Love Lily would be perfect for late teens early 20’s. The Monsoon Rose Gold has a slightly more romantic, sophisticated feel but that being said I have enjoyed them both.

Perfume is down to personal taste & I always recommend trying them out for yourself. So if you get chance to pop into a Monsoon or Accessorize store give them a whirl and let me know your thoughts.
