Branching Out InTo Makeup

Superdry Nail Polsih

Superdry kindly sent me some bits from their makeup line to try out. I was quite excited when I received nail polish as I have been browsing their website looking at them, thinking how much I liked their colour range. I have seen a good few posts talking about them releasing their makeup line and I was super impressed by their packaging and attention to detail.

Superdry is a brand that I associate with being quite on trend and their makeup / beauty offerings live up to this too. They have quite varied selection including nail polish, eyeshadows, lip sticks, blush, lip glaze and quite a few other products. I spied a few tools and brushes on their website too. I love their bright colourful branding its very fun.

The nail file duo has been living in my handbag – when I get them out people love the bright colours and the handy bag they came in is perfect for on the go. The buff and shine block is good quality and I’m attempting to get my nails in shape for going to California in June, they need alot of TLC and these Superdry tools are helping.

Soda Pop & Jade

Both shades are really pretty and right up my street. I love the Jade mint green shade – what a perfect colour for Spring and Summer. Soda Pop is an orange toned red and takes two coats to look fab! The consistency of the polish is quite thin and a little watery but it applies well and as I said 2 coats gives a good colour. The brush could be thicker but that’s just my preference, I am a fan of the wider brush.

With Superdry being new to the makeup game I was dubious about their quality, but I have to say they really surprised me as their nail products are long wearing and the colour range is great. I just love the packaging of all their beauty products and I am excited to pick up some of their Brushes.  I’ve been loving using both the Jade and Soda Pop but have my eye on the Bronze shade – it looks so pretty

Superdry Nail Polish

You can buy the Superdry beauty range in store or online at Superdry.com – the nail polish is £6 for 10ml. I think that’s reasonably priced. If you haven’t already I recommend you take a look at their beauty offerings I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I am also excited to see what is to come from them in the future.

Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend x

NEON

Superdry Neon Pink Oriental Amber *

The first thing that you notice about this Superdry fragrance is the packaging its BOLD and really substantial. It is really fun and bright. I wasn’t too in love with it at first but it is something that grows on you. Not sure it would appeal to everyone tho. The fragrance itself is in a really nice bottle its heavy and feels quite luxurious. I think for their first ever fragrance they have done well with these. They fit right into their branding, on trend and great quality.

The Oriental Amber has a really fresh scent it’s quite sweet when you first spray it but it calms down on the skin and the scents really start to come through. It has lots of lovely notes including Jasmine, Vanilla, Sandalwood and Rose. I have to say it’s quite a grown up scent. Often with high street perfumes you need to wear quite a lot of product for it to last but that isn’t the case with this Superdry fragrance. A little lasts a long time and the scent really develops with time. I think these will be really popular.

The whole package is well put together. From the box to the bottle and the flip top cap and the perfume itself. They stand out and are really nicely presented.

I’ve surprised myself and have actually enjoyed wearing this. It is not the kind of sweet scent I tend to go for but it has been really nice to change it up. If you’re not into bright packaging don’t be put off. I think you will be genuinely surprised with this fragrance. Pop in and give it a test. Have you tried any of the other 3 fragrances? I quite like the sound of the Neon Blue.

Superdry have released 4 female fragrances Neon Pink Oriental Amber, Neon Blue Fresh Floral, Neon Orange Fruity Citrus and Neon Purple Creamy Ozonic. They are available in larger Boots Stores and in Superdry stores too. They all retail at £35 for 40ml.

Also what are your favourite perfumes. What do you always go back to?

* This perfume was sent to me for my consideration but the opinions are my own.
